Ms. Arlaysha Hood, born in Washington, DC, has dedicated the last eight years to advocating for, mentoring, and supporting students. Her passion for mental health and social-emotional development in young people has driven her work in various roles. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, over two years ago. Previously, she worked at City Year, where she supported young adults in reaching their full potential, ensuring they could better support students in schools. Through her work, Arlaysha continues to champion the importance of fostering emotional well-being and growth in the next generation.
